IDCCA Congratulates Chair Lisa Hernandez on Reelection and Newly Elected Local Party Leaders
Springfield, IL – The Illinois Democratic County Chairs Association (IDCCA) today congratulated Democratic Party of Illinois Chair Lisa Hernandez on her reelection, as well as the five Democratic County Party Chairs who were also elected to the Democratic State Central Committee.
Chair Hernandez’ continued leadership comes at a pivotal time for Illinois Democrats, as the party builds on its momentum at every level–from the grassroots to federal leadership, from wins at the County Board level to the United States Senate. Party leaders account Hernandez’s steady guidance and commitment to strengthening party infrastructure across all counties as one of the key components in their continued success.
“Chair Hernandez has been a strong, thoughtful leader for our party, and her reelection is a vote of confidence from Democrats across Illinois who see even more to come in her vision,” said IDCCA President Mark Guethle. “We’re proud to continue working alongside Chair Hernandez and all our friends at the Democratic Party of Illinois to strengthen our county parties, making them engines for progress in every corner of the state.”
President Guethle also had this to say about the five Democratic County Party Chairs who were just elected to the Democratic State Central Committee, “There’s a reason Democrats wanted these folks in dual leadership roles: in what’s probably the toughest moment in our history, these County Chairs have shown an unwavering commitment to service by organizing their County Parties, mentoring dynamic new candidates and working to elect leaders that can help us realize a better future.”
The IDCCA is excited to partner with Democratic leadership in County Parties, the State Central Committee and in all elected positions.
The five Democrats who have been elected both County Chair and Democratic State Central Committeeperson are: Calen Campanella (12th CD), Katherine Daniels (15th CD), Terry Redman (15th CD), Patrick Cortesi (16th CD), and Pamela Davidson (17th CD).
