The Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association (IDCCA) formed over 50 years ago to support the political agenda of our Party through grassroots organizing and helping elect Democrats using the County Party structure. Every Democrat, everywhere counts.
IDCCA’s mission is to build a dynamic and sustainable Democratic partnership resource organization. The IDCCA provides training and best practices guidance to all 102 Illinois Democratic County Parties and their members. The IDCCA is committed to Democratic values and victories at every level including county, statewide, and national level.
Membership is comprised of Illinois Democratic County Chairs from all 102 Illinois counties. Further details about the IDCCA Executive Board and membership can be found by clicking here.
The IDCCA’s strength is our access to political knowledge, organizing, resources, and training. It is also the grassroots efforts of our volunteer County Chairs and thousands of Precinct Committeepersons (PC) throughout Illinois. These individuals serve as a special and important function of liaisons from the Party to fellow Democrats within their neighborhoods.
As the largest and most active grassroots Democratic partner in Illinois, the IDCCA focuses on being a resources for the Democratic County Parties. Resources include mentorship, activist training, and volunteer development for our County Parties. The IDCCA assists with candidate recruitment and campaign assistance, as well as information sharing to engage Democrats throughout Illinois.
