Former Presidential candidate and Wisconsin Senator from crucial battleground state highlight important work of Illinois Democrats

SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association (IDCCA) has a history of attracting some of the highest national officials to address the annual County Chairs’ Brunch. This year’s virtual Brunch @ 6 is no different. The IDCCA is proud to announce United States Senator Tammy Baldwin (WI) as the guest speaker.

IDCCA President Kristina Zahorik released the following statement.

“The IDCCA is a grassroots organization made up of volunteers who are the backbone of the Democratic Party. They believe in Democratic values and civic duty. Senator Tammy Baldwin has seen firsthand the impact grassroots organizing can have to elect Democrats. She is a trailblazer in the United States Senate and a role model. As a member of the LGBTQ + community, Senator Baldwin provides a needed perspective in the Senate. We are honored to have our neighbor to the north speak at the IDCCA Brunch @ 6.”

The County Chairs’ Brunch is the premiere event for Illinois Democrats every year. In previous years, the County Chairs’ Brunch has attracted thousands of Democrats to Springfield to kick off Democrat Day at the Illinois State Fair. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (CA), US Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN), and Mayor Pete Buttigieg (South Bend, IN) have headlined the County Chairs’ Brunch over the last three years.

This year’s Brunch @ 6 will take place on Monday, August 31st, at 6pm. More information is available online at
