Democratic County Chairs to Host Two Attorney General Candidate Forums

Forums to be held in Springfield and Chicago

Springfield, Illinois – Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association (IDCCA) announced today that it will be hosting two candidate forums for the Democratic candidates for Attorney General in Springfield and Chicago.

Each forum will be open to the public, within ticket availability, and press. The IDCCA is also pleased to provide media availability with IDCCA Chairman Doug House and the candidates for interested outlets. House will be available at 6:30 and candidates following each forum.

The IDCCA is proud to be partnering with Jim Leach of News/Talk 94.7 & 970 WMAY to moderate the forum in Springfield, to be held at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, and Amanda Vinicky of WTTW/Chicago Tonight to moderate the Chicago forum at International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399.

“The Democratic County Chairs’ Association is excited to be able to introduce voters to this outstanding slate of candidates for Attorney General,” said Chairman Doug House. “We look forward to two lively discussions that help voters decide who is best for the job.”

To date, the following candidates have confirmed their participation: Sharon Fairley, Aaron Goldstein, Renato Mariotti, Pat Quinn, Kwame Raoul, Nancy Rotering, and Jesse Ruiz.

Springfield Forum:

WHEN: Monday, February 5, 7 pm – 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. Media avail with Chairman Doug House at 6:30. Seats at 6:45. Media avail with candidates immediately following forum.

Chicago Forum:

WHO: IDCCA and Democratic Candidates for Attorney General

WHERE: International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399, 2260 South Grove St.

WHEN: Monday, February 12, 7 pm – 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. Media avail with Chairman Doug House at 6:30. Seats at 6:45. Media avail with candidates immediately following forum
